📣 What’s New in Foodiverse - 2026
🚀 November 2026 | Version 3.4.12
This release introduces smarter ways to fill vacant regular collection slots, helps charities discover nearby collection opportunities, and brings improvements to the Foodiverse login and mobile experience.
We've also fixed several issues to make everyday tasks smoother and more reliable.
🤝 A smarter way to fill regular collection slots
Who this helps
Food Network administrators and charities.
Overview
We're introducing Charity Slot Filler Automation, helping Food Networks fill vacant regular collection slots with less manual work.
When automation is enabled for a donor branch, Foodiverse uses the Charity Slot Finder to identify suitable charities and automatically invite them to take on available regular collections.
For charities:
Receive invitations to suitable regular collection opportunities through Foodiverse.
Review useful details, including collection times, location, and typical donation information.
Accept or decline invitations directly from the app or web.
When an invitation is accepted, Foodiverse automatically schedules the charity and confirms their first collection date, giving at least seven days' notice.
For Food Network administrators:
Choose which donor branches use automated recruitment.
View invitation history to see which charities have been invited and how they responded.
Continue managing invitations manually when needed, with the option to restart automation for an individual slot.
Foodiverse invites up to three suitable charities, one after another, when earlier invitations are declined or expire. If no charity accepts, the Food Network can continue recruitment manually.
This helps reduce the time spent coordinating regular collections while keeping charities in control of which opportunities they accept.
📅 A new way for charities to find available regular collection slots
Who this helps
Charities.
Overview
We're introducing Available Slots, giving charities an easier way to discover nearby regular collection opportunities directly in Foodiverse.
The new page sits within Scheduling and displays available slots from Food Networks the charity belongs to, where the feature has been enabled.
For charities:
Find nearby regular collection opportunities in a mobile-friendly view.
Search from their branch address or another location, within a distance of 5, 10, 25, 50, or 75 km.
See the nearest opportunities first.
Review useful details about each opportunity, including:
Donor branch and organisation.
Distance and regular collection day and time.
How often the donor has posted food over the previous eight weeks.
Typical donation size, where available.
Find and copy the relevant Food Network's email address or phone number to get in touch.
What charities should know
Available Slots only displays opportunities from Food Networks where the feature has been enabled for that charity. Charities belonging to multiple Food Networks may therefore see opportunities from some networks but not others.
Food Networks can also decide whether to display slots where Olio is currently the primary collector.
Finding a slot does not automatically reserve it. Charities should contact the relevant Food Network to confirm availability and discuss taking on the collection.
The aim is to make regular collection opportunities easier to discover while keeping the existing scheduling and assignment process in place.
🔐 A clearer and more consistent login experience
Who this helps
All Foodiverse users.
Overview
We've refreshed the Foodiverse login screen to make it feel more consistent with the rest of the application.
The updated design improves the appearance of buttons, fields, messages, and loading screens while keeping the familiar sign-in process.
We've also fixed an issue on mobile where selecting Forgot Password? could leave the login window covering the password reset screen. Users can now access the password reset process without needing to close that window manually.
📱 Easier to manage availability on mobile
Who this helps
Charities and Food Network administrators.
Overview
We've made improvements to the Manage Availability experience on mobile, making it easier to select dates and temporarily pause collections.
These changes include:
Larger, easier-to-select calendar dates.
Clearer confirmation buttons and improved screen layouts.
Better handling of individual dates and selected collection slots.
Clearer feedback when selected dates don't match the collection days being paused.
These improvements help users manage collection availability with fewer unnecessary steps or missed selections.
🔧 Other improvements and fixes
We've also made several smaller improvements to Foodiverse:
Manage Organisation: Improved the mobile layout so action buttons are easier to find and use.
Collection Codes: Fixed an issue that could prevent users from entering all required digits of a collection code on some mobile devices.
Dashboard: Fixed an issue affecting how accepted donations appear for charities managing multiple schedules.
Mobile reliability: Addressed an issue that could unexpectedly log users out of the mobile app.
These changes help make Foodiverse more reliable and easier to use day to day.
