Get good food.

Every day across Ireland, community organisations support people who need it most. At the same time, perfectly good food is going to waste.

FoodCloud brings these two things together.

We connect surplus food from businesses to charities and community groups, helping ensure good food reaches people who need it.

Today, more than 600 organisations across Ireland share food through FoodCloud, creating healthier, stronger and more connected communities.

What food can you receive?

Surplus food comes in many shapes and sizes, and allows our partners to try new things that they might not have otherwise! The following foods are frequently received by our partners:

  • Fresh fruit and vegetables.
  • Bread and baked goods.
  • Dairy products.
  • Prepared meals.
  • Packaged groceries.
  • Seasonal farm surplus.

“I like to be part of the chain. As an adult educator, FoodCloud helps me bring the idea to people that we should be more mindful about food. FoodCloud also reduces our budget. My colleagues who don't have FoodCloud can only do one dish. I can do 20.”

Carmen Sanchez

Bunclody FETC Kitchen Coordinator

Working with FoodCloud has been really positive because we receive a wide variety of food, which means we can offer a great selection to our community. The way we distribute it then gives people that choice, which helps reduce Food waste and supports a sense of dignity

Hilda Mungereza, Community Programme Manager

Liberties Community Project

By bringing together students from different courses and groups, we’ve shifted the focus from just providing food to building real human connection. It’s incredibly rewarding to see students not only accessing a resource but finding a space where they feel seen, respected and part of a supportive community
